The rooms are closed from late November and reopen early February. Visitors from outside the district who wish to access the library may do so by appointment during this period.

Meetings
During daylight saving months meetings are held on the 1st Monday of each month (excluding January and December ) at 7.30 p.m. in the Carnegie Centre. April, May, June, July and August meetings are held on the first Saturday of the month at 1:30 p.m. at the Carnegie Centre. A guest speaker or activity follows the meeting which in turn is followed by a light supper/afternoon tea. The supper room is a great place to socialize with your fellow members and get assistance with some of those hard to solve research problems.

Projects
The Projects’ Team meets every Thursday from the beginning of February to the end of November. The team concentrates on indexing and digitalizing local records.
Past projects include the indexing of schools, newspapers, church and cemetery records plus the transcribing and photographing of headstones in the local area.
